The STAR Awards 2009 nomination period is now closed
The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) would like to thank the many hundreds of people who made a nomination this year. The quality of nominations was again extremely high, and the vast number of nominations received shows how popular and esteemed the awards have become over the last six years.
What happens next?
The LSIS STAR Awards judging panel - made up of independent experts from the further education system - will now assess nominations for how well they address the published questions for each category. A short list of the top nominations in each category will be drawn up and announced on this website in August. The day before the short list is publically announced all successful and non-successful nominators will be notified by email. All successful nominees will also be notified by email, where we have their address.
Short-listed nominees and their nominators will then be contacted in September and invited to attend a regional celebration event in October.
